Bogey Mates ("we", "us") operates the Bogey Mates mobile app and the bogeymates.app website. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Data we collect

• Account details: name, email, optional phone, profile photo.
• Golf data you create: rounds, scores, handicap, friends, group membership, side bets, trip ledgers.
• Device data: app version, OS version, crash reports, performance metrics.
• Analytics: anonymised usage events to improve the product (PostHog).

How we use data

• To run the app — sync your scores across devices, show leaderboards, calculate handicaps.
• To support spectator share — only what you explicitly share is public.
• To improve the product and diagnose issues.
• To send transactional emails (account verification, receipts, important changes).

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data to third parties.
• We don't run advertising networks or share data with ad providers.
• We don't read your messages with friends within the app.
• We never see your bank details — PayID settlement is bank-to-bank.

Hosting and storage

Data is hosted on Supabase with row-level security enforced. Australian users' data is stored on Australian infrastructure where available.

Your rights

You can export or delete your account data at any time from the app's settings. Reach out at privacy@bogeymates.app for any privacy enquiry.
